Our fully trained technical staff can do all engineering onsite using CAD software or we can work to spec from part drawings. We manufacture to print, maintaining high tolerance and standards. Upon receiving an order we review the material requirements and use the best material - CPM-M4, T15, High Speed Steel or M2 as per customer specifications. What is Broaching Broaching is a manufacturing process that pushes or pulls a long tool through a part to remove material. A broach is made of a series of teeth or cutting edges that increase progressively so that each of the teeth removes only a small portion of the material as it is pulled or pushed through the part. The creation of odd-shaped holes or openings requires the use of a broach. A broaching machine is used to cut special features like keyseats and for forming square, hexagonal or odd-shaped holes after a drilled hole has been made. The broaching tool is what makes the broaching process work. The design of the tool is of utmost importance. They must be tailored for the specific job, they can not be ordered from a catalog or picked up from a parts shelf. When designing a broach for optimum performance, our engineers consider the relationship of all factors affecting the broaching application.
